Wiley Wat

Adopted on 12 May 2026

Hello! My name is Wiley Wat!

My name is Wiley Wat… well, that’s the lovely name the shelter humans gave me, since I was found as a stray and no one knows my story. They estimate that I’m only about 1 year old. Even so, from the moment I arrived, I showed that I clearly know and trust humans. I’m a little stressed by all the changes, but I remain a sweet cat who is simply looking to feel safe. Life outside doesn’t seem to have been easy for me. With my long fur and no one to care for it, I was covered in large mats that caused me a lot of discomfort. The shelter staff had to shave some areas during my neuter surgery to help relieve me. Well… I have to admit that my haircut isn’t exactly runway-worthy right now, but it’s only temporary! My beautiful coat will grow back with time. Unfortunately, I also contracted FIV because of my life as a stray cat. But please, don’t be afraid of that. Right now, I’m in great shape and I’m not showing any symptoms at all. I deserve just as much love and as many chances as any other cat. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) weakens a cat’s immune system, but it rarely threatens their life. It is mainly transmitted through deep bite wounds between cats. Living with other cats can still work very well in a calm and appropriate environment. A cat with FIV can have a life expectancy similar to that of a non-infected cat. It simply means making sure I stay healthy, keep my vaccines up to date, and live in a low-stress environment. Now, all I wish for is a gentle and loving family who will look beyond my diagnosis and my funny temporary haircut. A family who will finally give me the chance to experience the comfort, stability, and love that I truly deserve.
